Warner Brothers Studio Tour

Many (most?  all?) of the major studios have offices and filming areas in Hollywood and/or surrounding areas.  We took the tour of Warner Brother's Studio on Tuesday.  Our guide had to be one of the most knowledgeable guides they have.  We would drive around various places (for example, some woods that could be made to look like a jungle, or a city street scene) and he knew at least 4 TV shows and 3 movies that that filmed in that location.  It was a little creepy.  He admitted to being a "movie geek."

This is what you see upon entering the Warner Brothers area.

Of course they have big statues of their biggest stars (it's an ego thing).
While waiting for our tour, we had a chance to get a snack at the Starbucks inside the WB building.  We got an another insight into California culture - Proposition 65.
Apparently coffee and baked goods contain something related to cancer.  I think California is the only place in the world where the Starbucks warns you about drinking coffee and eating baked goods!

Our tour went through a number of sound stages.  One of WB's current TV shows is "The Mentalist," which we've never watched.  Also, the guide bragged about "Friends" being the most popular show in the history of television.  Again, we've never seen it!  But we saw the sets for those shows...

We also saw lots of props and items from shows.  WB is behind the Harry Potter movies, and although they were filmed in the UK, some of the props are in the studio.

Needless to say, WB does not have a Junior Ranger program!
